摘要：In a process for making a filter element comprising a pleated filter materialbonded to a frame, the material of the frame (2) is injected in a flowable state into theopen folds (6) of the filter medium (1) on the upstream side (with respect to flow of thefluid to be filtered) and is then bonded to the walls (12) of the folds during its automaticcross-linking. Also claimed is a filter element in which the whole of the outer edge (3) ofthe folded filter medium (1) is fluid-tightly wrapped over the outer edges of the filterframe and is formed as a seal.
