terminals 30, the plug portions 30b being located near the periphery of the board so thatthey may be kept out of a dip-soldering bath when joints 33, 34 are being made. Asshown the components 24, 25 are connector sockets mounted on a plate 26 in the chassisof a radio, television or phonograph. A plastics clip 52, Fig. 13, which is retained byfasteners 54, 55 engaging apertures 58, 59, holds the terminals 30 firmly against theboard in resistance to the insertion force of connector 40. Platforms 56a, 57a are fixed tothe plate 26 of Fig. 2 to prevent flexing of the board. Other forms of clip are disclosed,Figs. 9-12 and 15-16 (not shown). In a modification, Figs. 6-8 (not shown), the terminals 30are supported by passing through holes in a retaining member (260) which is in contactwith the board 21 and has a turned over end to engage the edge of the board.
