摘要：Apparatus for removing hairs (27) form a region of skin, the apparatus including:a housing (12) having an opening therein, the housing (12) forming a cavity enclosing avolume of air when the opening is placed in contact with the region of skin; a switchableheat source (14) disposed within the housing(12) that rapidly heats the volume of air to atemperature sufficient to destroy the hair (27) by conduction of heat along the length ofthe hair (27) to a follicle thereof, and a power source (16) that controllably energizes theheat source (14).
