摘要：A night vision visor system that is compact, light in weight, and ejection-safe, andwhich provides the user with an unobstructed peripheral field of view includes a visor (16)adapted to be mounted to a helmet (18) to be worn by a user and to be positionedsubstantially in front of the user's face, and a night vision imaging apparatus mounted tothe visor for receiving incoming visible and/or infrared light from an object, for convertingthe incoming light to an intensified visible light, and for presenting the intensified visiblelight to an eye (15) of the user. The night vision imaging apparatus includes first andsecond night vision imaging devices (13,14) mounted in openings in the visor and movablewith the visor between a down position in front of the user's face when in use and a raisedposition away from the user's face when not in use. The imaging devices (13,14) haveobjective imaging systems the light inputs (42) of which are spaced apart by

approximately the same distance as the eyes (15) of the user, and in use are locatedabove the eyes of the user. The imaging devices also includes eyepiece optical systemswhich are adjustable to the interpupillary distance of the user.
