摘要：A method for performing transform calibration of an accelerometer of a

telematics device during installation in a vehicle includes placing the device in the vehicleat an initial position having a known alignment with a given frame of reference of thevehicle, moving the telematics device from the initial position to a final installationposition in the vehicle with a tri-axial rate gyroscope of the device concurrently trackingand integrating the angle changes to provide a set of coordinates of the final installationposition, and transform calibrating the accelerometer of the device using the set ofcoordinates so as to leave the device installed at the final position with its accelerometertransform calibrated with respect to the given frame of reference.
