During that flying day, what can I do in the outside world except wondering and wondering? In that more than 8000 wondering days , what can be left except wandering? Time is like a file that wears and makes no noise. Do I have any traces left behind me? When do I ever have any traces left behind me? I come to the world with nothing, there is no doubt dying with nothing in latter years. What makes me angry is that why I have to come to the world and die without anysense?

Dear ,tell me why the time lost never returns?

In order to have a good look at the sunrise, I usually get up early. The sky hasn’t give out too much light yet, everything is quiet except the machine of boats. The sky is still in the colour of slight light blue. Suddenly, there is a red twilight turning up,extending and extending slowly, shining and shining more and more strongly. I am aware of the sun is rising so that I pay all my attention to it. After a while, there appears little half of the sun’face which is red without any light. It seems that the sun is carrying a heavy load rising slowly and slowly. Finally it rushes out of the twlight high above the sea with a cute red colour.

In the new millennium一千年,黄金时代I want to see disabled people acquiring the same degree of control over their lives that other people have. To be disabled is to be no less human than anyone else, but far too often disabled people still have their lives ruled by others. No able-bodied person would put up with it.

Access to intellectual理智的opportunities and jobs as well as buildings and public transport need to be regarded as rights, not gifts society is generous enough to bestow授予;放置;留宿on disabled people. Institutions are generally willing to adapt their buildings, but only when a disabled person needs them — and afterwards you hear grumbles抱怨;嘟囔that the money was wasted because

\"you never see\" a disabled person using the new facilities. That's simplistic过分简单化的;过分单纯化的: just widening a door or putting up a ramp斜坡,坡道doesn't mean a building is accessible if once you get through the door you still can't see, hear or use its services or enjoy the entertainment.

The record is appalling. Even the recent Disability Discrimination Act fails to cover areas like education and transport, areas that are absolutely crucial至关重要的if full citizen's rights are to be extended to the disabled. Until recently people with disabilities were not legally allowed to use the London Underground. Now there are a few stops, but still not remotely enough.

2.None of them knew the color of the sky. Their eyes glanced level, and were fastened扣紧;抓住 upon the waves that swept toward them. These waves were of the hue色彩 of slate板岩, save for the tops, which were of foaming white, and all of the men knew the colors of the sea. The horizon narrowed and widened, and dipped and rose, and at all times its edge was jagged with waves that seemed thrust up in points like rocks. Many a man ought to have a bath-tub larger than the boat which here rode upon the sea. These waves were most wrongfully and barbarously abrupt and tall, and each froth-top was a problem in small-boat navigation.

Excerpted from The Open Boat by Stephen Crane
