My community centre

I'm Tom. I live in a neighbourhood in City Garden on Renmin Road. Around it there are supermarkets, restaurants, a school and a hospital.

The neighbours here are very kind and helpful. Some of them are volunteers. They often meet at the community centre and share their different skills with each other. They can help people with all kinds of problems.

A good neighbour

I am very lucky to have a good neighbour like Mr. Zhang.

Mr. Zhang is an English teacher in a middle school. He is kind and good at teaching so that all of his students like him. When I have problems with my English, I often go to him. Because he often helps people in need, he is popular in our neighbourhood. Mr. Zhang makes his life colourful. He likes travelling very

much. I know he has been to many places in China. He often shares some interesting stories with us. Reading is his hobby too. No matter when I see him, he is always reading. He says that reading makes him happy.
