摘要：In an optical connector, an end face () of an optical fiber () is brought intocontact with an end face of a mating connector in a predetermined direction () to achieveconnection. The optical connector includes a housing () provided with an aligning portion() having a hole () for insertion of the optical fiber, and a holding portion () for holding theoptical fiber. The holding portion () is movable in the predetermined direction. Theholding portion is fixed to the housing with the optical fiber inserted into the hole in thealigning portion and serves to adjust the amount of protrusion of the optical fiber froman end face () of the aligning portion. The housing is provided with a guide portion () forguiding the optical fiber to the hole in the aligning portion.
